Married Couples and Potluck Dinners Go Together like Fine Wine and Good Cheese

Nov 05, 2007

Well, even though we forgot the wine, the married couples of Shoreline kicked off the first truly chilly weekend of fall with a delicious potluck and game night. We enjoyed quality comfort food like chili and mac & cheese, complemented with cornbread, salad, and butter cake. Yum. After dinner, we played the Apkarian paper game that's a combination of Catch-phrase, Scattergories, and Charades. In honor of Lara, Liz, Levi, and the Litwins (well, mainly Lara since she picked the letter), we had to come up with words starting with the letter L. Highlights of the list: Liliputians, Largent, and Little Richard. The husbands won that game, but I think the wives will be able to even the score at the next game night. Thanks to the Trivial Pursuit game, we all know to ask Paul and Trina Litwin if we have any questions about miscellaneous pop culture tidbits.

Our next event will be on Saturday, Dec 1st for a Christmas date exchange.  Please plan a fun date for another couple to go on for a Christmas date. Buy gift cards for the date and we'll exchange them at the party. If the place you want to send someone on your date doesn't do gift cards, you can just bring cash and make home-made gift cards. Please aim for $35-$50 per couple. Place and time will be sent out via evite, so make sure I have your email address.

Hope to see you then!
